Planned Pethood
Increasing spay/neuter numbers is the single most effective tool a municipal shelter has for reducing shelter intake and euthanasia and for improving the lives of animals in the community
OUR PLAN TO INCREASE SPAY/NEUTER NUMBERS
1. Continue in-house spay/neuter to make sure that every animal who leaves our shelter via adoption is spayed or neutered. These animals will not contribute to overpopulation in the future.
2. Build our capacity to subsidize spay/neuter for residents via fundraising and utilizing available spay/neuter programs such as Animal Balance, Friends of Watsonville Animal Shelter and Snip Bus
HOW YOU CAN HELP
