Barn Cats Program

Thank you for your interest in our Barn Cat Program!

Due to current Shelter resources, we are having to place our Barn Cat Program on hold. We are only able to place barn cats with adopters that have experience with caring for barn cats, and after they have their set up and plan for acclimation done. Additionally, we do not have the ability to assist with in depth counseling for set up, acclimation or accommodate preferences for ages, sex, and coloration.

If you fit the above requirements, please email SCCASBarnCats@santacruzcountyca.gov. In your email, include your full name, address and phone number. Please also let us know the type of property the cats will live on, and how many you are hoping to adopt.

We may not always respond to your email right away. Please know that your information will be kept on a list, and we will be in touch when and if the appropriate cats are available for placement. Thank you for understanding.
