Meet Your Match - 2012 Shelter Calendar

calendar cover featuring a girl and her dog

Roscoe Inspired Us!
black lab named RoscoeRoscoe is a big old black Lab mix who had been at our former Scotts Valley shelter location for a long time. Frightened and confused, he barked loudly, incessantly. One of the dog walking volunteers came in for her shift and offered to foster him. Within days she and her husband adopted him, wanting him to live out his last days in the comfort of a home. Roscoe, however, had other ideas! He began getting younger instead of older. He traded the nonstop barking for walks around the block, then for strolls around the neighborhood and finally for romps on the beach. The spring came back in his step, and the light in his big brown eyes continues to get brighter.

He was the initial inspiration for this calendar which allows us to tell some of our fabulous success stories!
